From Little Things, Big Things Grow
It is easy to underestimate the power of small things. A smile at the right moment. A silly game on Wacky Wednesday. A block of chocolate shared with a student who’s had a rough day. A quiet conversation when someone just needs to be heard. These little things, so simple on the surface, often become the big things in the hearts of our kids.
As Chaplain, I’m constantly reminded that children respond to love—wholeheartedly and without hesitation. They don’t need grand gestures. They need presence. Encouragement. Kindness. And when we show up for them, even in the smallest of ways, something incredible happens. Their world shifts. Their shoulders lift. Their joy grows.
I count it a deep privilege to walk alongside this next generation. Every day, I see the truth of Ecclesiastes 3:11: 'He has made everything beautiful in its time.' Sometimes, that beauty comes in the form of a breakthrough moment with a student, a shared laugh or a quiet, unexpected prayer.
These children are full of promise and potential and when we water their hearts with care—even just a drop—it can lead to incredible growth. So thank you, to every parent, teacher and staff member who sows love into our community. Your small acts are not small at all. They’re seeds of something eternal.
Let’s keep sowing.
Love and blessings
